West Geauga High School

The West Geauga softball team earned a split of the season series with Perry by defeating the Pirates 9-7 on the road. The Wolverines jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning before Perry answered with a run in the bottom of the inning. The Pirates rallied to tie the game 3-3 with a pair of runs in the third inning before West Geauga responded with a six run fourth inning to build a 9-3 lead. Perry answered back in the bottom of the fifth inning with four runs. Faelynn Beckrest went 3-4 with a home run and four runs driven in while Gabby Donofrio also went deep. Lely Percassi allowed just three earned runs over seven innings of work while striking out five.
