Girls Track & Field Win Tri-Meet Over Orange & Hawken

The West Geauga Girls track team took home a tri-meet win over Hawken and Orange on Wednesday at Orange High School. Emily Fousek won the long jump with a jump of 14'9 and Kara Deister won the High Jump by hitting a 5'2 mark. In the shot, Renee Mason finished second with a throw of 26'9. The 4x8 team of Lia Alvord, Mila Dzananovic, Claire Taurasi and Lena Lombardo took first with a time of 11:41. Deister also won the 100m with a time of 12.95 and the 300m hurdles with a time of 46.46. Molly McNamara took second with a time of 59.48. Alvord also won the 800m with a time of 2:42 and Jade Alvord took second with a time of 2:47. Rachel Mason took third with a time of 2:53. In the 200m, Brianna Farmer took first with a time of 26.38 and Ila Carson took third with a time of 28.9. Samiah Dexter took second in the 400m with a time of 67.6 and in the mile Cassie GAskill took second with a time of 6:28. The 4x400 team took second with a time of 4:37. The Wolverines are back at Orange on Friday for the Orange Relays.
