Track & Field Teams Shine at Kurt Frankel Invitational

The West Geauga Girls and Boys Track & Field teams both had strong performances at the 35th Annual Kurt Frankel Invitational on Friday at Howell Field. The girls team compiled 173 team points and won the meet over second place Lutheran West who finished with 103 points. The boys finished second behind Harvey with 128 points. In the field events, Ryan Mobley took second in the shot with a throw of 45-4.5 while Cooper Paskowski finished third in the High Jump by reaching 5'8. Anderson Osolin took third also at 5'8. Mason Starr won the 1600m with a time of 4:54.48. Marcus McKissick finished second in the 400, with a time of 51.37. Jacob Williams won the 800m in a time of 2:07.51 and Joey Lubanovich was second with a time of 2:07.81. On the girls side, Kara Deister won both the High Jump and the Long Jump. In the discus Renee Mason took second. Deister also won the 100m HH and the 300m Hurdles. In the running events, Brianna Farmer took second with a time of 13.06. In the 400m, Jade Alvord took first place with a time of 1:04.27 and Rachel Mason took third with a time of 1:08.00. Lia Alvord took first in the 800 with a time of 2:44.91 and second in the mile with a time of 6:05.70 West Geauga also took first in the 4x400 and 4x800. Full results are linked below.
