Boys & Girls Track Put Up Strong Performances at Ranger Invite

The West Geauga High School boys and girls track teams started the season with several strong performances on Friday in less than ideal weather conditions. The boys team compiled 71.5 points and finished fourth out of nine teams competing. Ian Res won the mile with a time of 4:39.50 while Mason Starr finished seventh. In the 800m, Joey Lubanovich finished second with a time of 2:09.71 and Jacob Williams took fourth with a time of 2:12.55. Cooper Paskowski took second in the High Jump at 5'10 while Anderson Osolin took fourth after clearing 5'5. The girls finished third overall with 90 points. Kara Deister took second in the High Jump and won the Long Jump. She also won the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.3 and the 300m hurdles with a time of 47.37. West Geauga will host its annual invitational on Friday starting at 4:30pm.
