The West Geauga Wrestling team won its first overall CVC championship since 2008 with 274 team points which was 73 ahead of second place Perry. The Wolverines had four individual champions. Caden Kaleal (120lbs) and Danny Sizler (144lbs) won their first-ever CVC titles while Zander Joltin (138lbs) picked up his fourth consecutive and Brian Denamen (165lbs) earned his third. Second place finishers included Nikita Vlasenko (132lbs), Daniel Russell (150lbs), Austin Wheatley (175lbs) while Dean Horvath (157lbs) and Blaker Welker (190) took home third place finishes. Maveric Milnar took fourth in the heavyweight division. West Geauga will host the State Dual Regionals on Saturday, February 7 where they will take on the winner of Perry and Padua.
